New Leaf is the promotion of Christian books in St George’s. Several times a year we recommend Christian books that can help our Christian growth, at our own pace. They will be available for sale in church at discounted rates and are available on audible. Please check this page regularly to find out what books are on offer.

This was very well received, so we are taking the same approach this year. There is something for everyone including a couple of titles from home grown talent. They will all be available in Church from 8 February.
In Quietness and Trust by Matt Searles
We know that many Christians value a guide to steer them through Advent or Lent.
Our choice for this Lent is ‘In Quietness and Trust’ by Matt Searles.
A book of devotions based on the Beatitudes, including bible verses, commentary and prayers.
It is a book to meditate on and learn from….and to follow the example set by Jesus.
Practicing the Way – John Mark Comer
We recommended this book last September, and it was well received. The reason that we are now promoting it again is that the ‘Going Deeper’ sessions for Home Groups are largely built around this book. It is a book that encourages us to become an apprentice of Jesus, and how to do it.
So, if you didn’t get a copy to read last time, we would urge you to get hold of a copy now, and use it to build on the ‘Going Deeper’ sessions.
Walk in the Light – Caroline Avnit

This is a book of prayers, poems and thoughts to help and provide guidance for our own quiet times.
