This is the community focused ministry of St George’s church.
We want to follow the example of Jesus who always went to the places where the need for hope and healing were the greatest. We seek to serve those most in need in our community.

Church Hub Drop In
- Mon-Thurs 10am-2pm

We provide immediate a safe place for people to drop in and find support with issues including housing, mental health, poverty and debt. We offer signposting, advocacy, befriending, listening and prayer.
Friday Connect
- Fridays at 10am–12pm
- St. George’s Church Building
A weekly community cafe held in church, providing a safe place for everyone, including the isolated and vulnerable in Stamford. A safe place where all are welcomed, people find belonging and community. Practical signposting is offered.
Homeless
We provide immediate relief for the homeless in Stamford, providing tents, sleeping bags and a hot cup of tea. We ensure they are plugged into to the right agencies to help them move forward.
SHEP - Furniture Project
SHEP (Stamford Household Essentials Project) was set up in response to the needs of people housed in council properties with nothing to furnish their new home with. SHEP provides essential items to people in Stamford who are in need of household equipment and furniture.

Energy Support
Our energy support scheme offers means tested utility top ups for those in need of urgent support with the gas and/or electricity bills.
