We believe that every Christian has a vital role to play in the life of the church.
It’s such a privilege to use our gifts to further God’s Kingdom by serving in our local church. Although we are blessed with a large staff team, running all of the events and activates we do would be impossible without the large and dedicated volunteer teams we have serving God and our community at St George’s Church.
If you want to get involved, we’d be delighted to hear from you. Some of the teams you might want to help in are listed below:
- Media – running the sound, visual and lighting desks at the church.
- Worship – using your musical gifting to join in our worship bands.
- Children’s work – join the children’s team to help in Sunday groups. Watch this video for more information.
- Hospitality – enjoy making refreshments for our services or at our Alpha course
- Youth team – serve in our youth groups, midweeks and Sundays.
- Friday Connect – Coming along side people in our town, and showing them the love of Christ.
- Befriending people who are connected with CAP, Fresh Hope and Hope into Action.
- SHEP – Helping to deliver furniture through the Stamford Household Essentials Project.
