Lighthouse

Lighthouse is our monthly congregation that meets at St George’s Church once a month on a Wednesday afternoon. It is intended to be a ‘fresh expression’ of church aimed primarily, but not exclusively, at families. We like to think of it as church done differently, something that everyone will find engaging and help them to hear about God.

What happens?

At Lighthouse we run a very relaxed meeting.  We start with a gathering activity ie junk modeling; game; craft and drinks. We then eat tea together before taking part in different activities around the theme of the day. After this, whilst listening to a story, we have pudding finishing with prayer and songs.

Who can come?

Anyone can come to Lighthouse! We would love for everyone, of every age, to be able to feel welcome to come and enjoy our service so bring all your friends and family! We do ask, however, that children under 16 be accompanied by a responsible adult.

How much does it cost?

Lighthouse is completely free! We don’t want to put any barriers to people coming along to our gathering. A box for donations towards the cost of food and craft materials will be at the door if you would like to make a contribution

Dates

If you would like to come along to join in the fun then we meet Monthly on the third Wednesday  from 16:00 – 17:30 during term time. Our next gathering will be on November 15th.  Other dates are as follows: 13th December.

Food is provided, so if you intend to bring along a large party then letting us know you’re coming would be really helpful! Children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information on any of the above please contact the church office. Lighthouse is run by DBS cleared team, and our Safeguarding Policy Statement can be read by clicking here.
